How Much Does an Ibiza Trip Cost for Americans? (2027 Budget in USD)

By Jasper - Updated 26 Oct 2026

Short answer: a 7-day Ibiza trip in summer costs most Americans roughly $1,050 to $1,750 per person on a budget, $2,450 to $4,200 mid-range, and $8,400 or more for a luxury trip, before flights. Add a round-trip transatlantic fare on top. The biggest swing factors are when you go (July and August are the most expensive), where you sleep (a hotel room vs. a shared villa), and how many club nights you plan. Below is every cost, in dollars, with the sources we used.

All prices are converted at EUR 1 = $1.1193, the European Central Bank reference rate of 23 October 2026 (ECB). Rates move, so treat the dollar figures as a guide and check the euro price when you book.

Flights from the US

From 31 May 2027 United plans the first-ever nonstop between the US and Ibiza: Newark (EWR) to Ibiza (IBZ) four times a week on the Airbus A321XLR, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays until 7 October, with returns from 1 June to 8 October, subject to government approval (Ibiza Spotlight, Diario de Ibiza). United had not published typical fares when announced; as a reference point, DJ Mag reported round trips from Newark to nearby Mallorca typically at $900 to $1,400 in standard fares (DJ Mag). Outside the nonstop season you connect via Madrid, Barcelona or another European hub. Full route options: flights from the USA to Ibiza.

Where to stay: hotels vs villas

Food and drink

As of 2026, a menu del dia lunch runs about EUR 15-20 ($17-22), a coffee about EUR 2.50 ($2.80), a casual dinner EUR 25-40 ($28-45) and a mid-range dinner with wine EUR 50-70 ($56-78) per person (Everything Ibiza). Beach clubs and restaurants with a view cost more. Our restaurants guide covers where to book.

Clubs and nightlife

In 2026 most superclub tickets bought online cost EUR 30-75 ($34-84); headline nights more, for example F*** Me I'm Famous at Ushuaia EUR 115-125 ($129-140) (Citorah). Ushuaia and Hi sell a pack of five drinks for EUR 99.99 ($112) in advance (Ushuaia FAQ). Buying online is cheaper than at the door. For a group, a VIP table can work out better than tickets plus bar drinks. 2027 prices are not out yet.

Getting around

Official Ibiza taxi fares since 29 September 2026: EUR 4.35 flag fall, EUR 1.32 per km by day and EUR 1.60 at night and on weekends/holidays, plus EUR 2.15 for the airport or port and EUR 1.60 if booked by phone or app (BOIB). That makes the airport to Ibiza Town about EUR 20-23 ($22-26) and the airport to San Antonio about EUR 36-42 ($40-47) (Ibiza Spotlight). Taxis are scarce late at night in peak season, so plan rides home. Details in getting around Ibiza, or skip the queue with a VIP transfer.

A boat day

A private day charter is priced per boat, not per person: from about EUR 999 ($1,118) in low season to EUR 1,600-1,750 ($1,791-1,959) in July and August, plus fuel, according to Balearic Waves (2026). Shared between 10 guests that is roughly $110-200 each. See our Ibiza yacht charters.

Tipping and card fees

Tipping is far lower than in the US: rounding up or about 5-10% for good restaurant service is generous, and service is usually included. Pay in euros, never accept "charge in USD" at a card terminal or ATM, and bring a Visa or Mastercard with no foreign transaction fee, since many US cards add 1-3% on every purchase. Full guide: money, tipping and ATMs. American Express is not accepted everywhere, so read using Amex in Ibiza before relying on it.

When to go to save money

July and August are the most expensive months for rooms, boats and clubs. Late May, June and September usually give you summer weather and the club season for less, and the tourist tax drops to a quarter from November to April, when most clubs are closed. Month by month: best time to visit Ibiza.
